Ving Rhames, the actor who starred in Mission Impossible and Pulp Fiction has had three of his bull mastiff dogs taken into custody following the death of his caretaker at the hands (?) of the dogs.........full story here: BBC News

The thing that strikes me about this is that they've taken three dogs into custody but are quoted as saying that it appears "two of these dogs were responsible for the killing"..............errr, how are you going to figure out which two of the three were responsible? That's gonna be some interrogation!

Sad news though.

Apparently they're also considering that the death was not a killing and the dogs were feeding.

There must be more to this, dogs don't just attack and kill their caretaker.:(

Not Mastiffs don't anyway.
One of the more gentle dogs I have been around.
Maybe fall on you and hurt you, but not just up and bite you.
Their size is what scares people, not their temperament.

...well one dog usually won't attack. However dogs when in a group or specifically a 'pack' behave very differently. 2-3 dogs become a pack and will chase and kill deer, sheep, cats, raccoons you name it. One dog won't.
I don't care if one dog comes up to me and starts yapping but 2-3....gets a little edgy.
I definitely see how this incident happened.

I was thinking the same thing as BP1. They mentioned that there were still other dogs there. All it takes is one to be aggressive and the others will jump in. Those particular mastifs are ususually a loving devoted breed and very protective of the family. Its going to be intresting how this story plays on.

Yabut, this feller was apparently no stranger to these dogs, my understanding is that he took care of them.

It has been said by people who have resorted to canibalism, for whatever their reason be, human flesh apparently taste akin to pork in flavor and texture.
However; i would'nt know 'cause pigs ain't kosher.
