I purchased the bass pro xps 2 bank charger, for my trolling and main battery charging needs. I`m always a little leery of mounting screws in a boat so here goes my question. In the engine compartment port sidewall below where the trolling motor lives is where I was planning on mounting. When looking at the interior of the engine compartment walls, it looks like a white fiberglass surface. Is it ok to use 1 inch screws in this area? This may be a stupid question, but I don`t want to put a screw thru the hull.I`m not sure how much thickness is between the engine compartment walls and the exterior hull. Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly, the holders for the seat posts used for the fishing seats are mounted on that same surface. I would check to see if they are scewed in and the length of the screws. Just a thought.

Good point MC. I was wondering what those black clips were for! I had been storing the seat rods in my side storage cubbies. Thanks.
