I have a 1987 Crestliner with a 110VRO motor. I just bought a 1986 6HP Johnson Kicker to mount beside the 110, only to be used if I ever have engine problems with the 110. My problem is the Transom is only wide enough to hold the 110 so I will have to mount the 6HP which weighs around 75 lbs, on the flat part of the back of the boat which rises up around 15 to 20 inches above the transom, so there is plenty of room beside the transom for a mounting plate. I will need 11 inches of horizontal room between the top of the engine cover and the back of the boat for when the motor is placed in the upright position. Does anyone know of a bracket that will give me that horizontal distance in room or will I need someone to build a custom mounting bracket?
