Motor won't start

I have a chrysler 105 2-CYCLE on a barracuda x213 from 77
the seller started for me and it ran good, got to the lake and wouldnt start, mechan in parking lot told me i needed new batt cause it started with jumpers direct from jeep batt to outboard but not with jumpers on boat batt. So replaced and still no start "on my own no mechanic" i also hooked up to jeep and no start..............did i flood it? Or is there a nother issue?

You say you hooked it up to a Jeep.Did it turn over?
Did you push in the key to choke it?Set up the fast idle???
