motor wont start.

i have a chrysler 105 two-cycle the boat is a barracuda x213 from 1977
the guy i bought it from started it for me and it ran great, i went to the lake and it wouldnt start, a mech looked at it in the parking lot and said need new batt, "it started with cable straight from my jeep batt but not batt on boat" so i got new batt and still will not start even with jeep. what the hell am i doing wrong ......lamen terms will apply for me.

there are new plug/wires ....gas is getting to it it turns over fine

Pump bulb till firm? Throttle at fast idle? Choke?

Maybe a problem with the spark. Check the ignition circutry..could be one of the packs or maybe the switch itself. If its getting gas but not kicking its most likely a spark issue.
