I have a 1999,9.9hp 4 stroke model num.E10Reeb,Evinrude,new carb,new spark plugs and wires,new prower pack,new coil,check timeing ok check valves ok still runs like sh-t,new gas, new gas line and the gas cap is tight,i have it at evinrude dealer right now and he doesnt know ,maybe someone out there can help me with outboard from hell

It runs like it is running on one spark plug,when they took out the spark plugs one was all black and the other one was clean,i was going down the lake and it had a very small miss and then it just stoped. The dealer has had it four weeks. thanks for your reply

Needs a compression check. You may have blown a head gasket.

Squeaky clean plugs usually have been steam cleaned by water getting into the cylinder.

Compression check ok on both cyl. They called me today and said they got it running but it still has a miss in it.

Classic case of throwing parts (and money) at an engine with no troubleshooting.

No,when you give it gas it will die,new fuel pump.
