motor only starts on choke/carb cleaner

my 1952 only will start if you spry a little carb cleaner in the carb is this ok?I would think its better to have a outboard addicted to carb cleaner then starting fluid?

Use pre-mix in a spray bottle. Is your choke functioning properly?

the high speed needle/choke needle bracket is broke and its a pain to start
