motor misses after 2500 rpm

I have 2@ 200 h.p. johnsons ever since the hot alarm came on the motor runs awful after 2500 rpm.
the motor never ran hot. they are 1989 models. any ideas?

Sure. Safe mode limits RPM to 2500. All related to the temp senders. Disconnect tan wire at top of both heads to determine which sender is faulty. When performance is back to normal, the disconnected sender is the culprit. All this is FREE to do.

In your other post you said 3000 rpm. Read the rules at the top of the forum and please stick to one post. It's less confusing!! Thank you.
