I live inland, where rivers constitute a large part of our boating activities. Since some of those rivers are shallow, a flat-bottom boat and jet outboard have become the standard watercraft. However, not too many years ago, a small outboard on a jack which could be raised quickly by pulling down on a long lever was the only game in town. Every garage had at least one hanging from the wall .... nowadays, though, they're almost impossible to find, and I'd love to be able to mate my Grumman square-stern with my 5hp Suzuki by putting a jack between.
I know this isn't the "classified", but I'd sure appreciate any advice or help on finding a website, retail outlet, used jack or even a pattern.
