I bought a older 2016ish I believe
75lb thrust wireless 24v motor guide trolling motor. Worked fine on bench after I bought it at a auction. Left it in my shop till bout a yr later pulled it out mounted it steering working fine but just humming when trying to run motor with little help it would turn a little I pulled it apart it was all rusted up. Sanded cleaned sprayed with rust bust ECT put it back together works great. So I put it in the water to make sure it ran fine before spending 💰 ney trying to seal it up. After testing it I pulled it out of water and when laying with the nose cone downward water slowly dripping out of the hole where the depth finder transducer is in. I bought seal kit but the transducer in the cone has no seal around that hole. I've looked all over internet no post about this problem. My question is unless someone knows a better way is can I seal this with a very good epoxy I have no idea why it need that whole for the tip of the transducer also can't see a way to remove the transducer I have found replacement cones that will fit without transducer in it. Which I may do if I can't fix this. I have two very nice Garmin Vivid 9svs in n board much better then this lowrance on the motor guide
Hopefully someone knows a answer...

I'd probably try the 2 part one from Harbor Freight that comes in a stick that you cut into a piece which you then roll together on a surface to combine the two parts. More likely not to run inside the housing and gum up the works internally.

FWIW...I have a 55lb MotorGuide 12v on my Chap and sitting in the basement over the winter, which is very dry - I lost 2-3" of water per week in a pond that was wintering down there, it seized up. I broke it free this weekend and it sounds loud. Probably going to replace it as same thing happened the winter before without a pond (and a dehumidifier running 24/7).

Considering a Minn Kota replacement...when funding allows.
