The good news is that I was not a death's door after all.
The bad news is that I spent 2 1/2 days in ICU with no salt, no sugar, no real food, no caffiene and no nicotine (not to mention no BEER!); connected to innumerable devices to analyze and display every function of my body except misery and frustration.
Had an episode (sounds better than "attack") of disrythmia, irregular heartbeat. Cleared up after a few hours. Probably a candidate for a pacemaker.
The best news is that I have some caffiene in front of me and will indulge in salted chili (JB's 5 alarm) and beer pretty soon.
