Morse Control

I purchased a pontoon boat with an older Morse binnacle mount controller. I can't seem to find a shift release button (not on control arm base) to enable me to run the throttle up without putting it in gear. Am I missing something or did Morse make some this way. Thanks, Ken

single handle, try moving the handle left or right. and advancing the throttle. the handle sort of pops out. kind pull out on the base of the handle.

Re: Morse Control

Here are three pics. There seems to be a knockout on the handle opposite the trim tab button (perhaps for another one) and one under the grip where your fingers rest (typically for a lock release for the shift arm). Ken

Yep, pull the handle outwards, away from the base while in neutral. That will disengage the shift and allow throttle only. DO NOT rev the motor up!
