Oh how I love the smell of progress. My floor is done, I've cleaned out all of the flotsam and jetsam, scrubbed the whole inside of the boat, including all the new glass work and am now ready to paint the aft compartment and bilge.

My question is, should I still give the newly glassed areas, intended to be painted, a vinegar bath before I paint? I've fairly well sanded all the surfaces to be painted with 40 grit paper and scrubbed them down with a bristled brush and soap.

I would just paint, after what you have done, I don't think anything more is needed.

What did you decide to use on it?

I'm going to spray Interlux Brightsides White polyeurathane without primer. Then I will be ready to drop the engine in and bolt her down.
