moisture in crancase 69 johnson

I'm getting a small amount of moisture in my crankcase, and I think it may be getting past my oil filler plugs . I was wondering if I could use rubber o-rings you get at auto parts stores in place of the rubber gasgets on these plugs.

the seals are one time use only, these are the new style and better.

replace the seals on the plugs BRP part # 311598 or Sierra part # 184248, buy several of these, ( they are a one time use item)
