To get further instruction on how to follow a post or pm a moderator or member how do I do that? Read intro but didn't understand. Would like to use forum correctly. Thx

To follow a thread either post in it or at the top of the thread hit the “watch” button.

To contact a Mod, either hit the “report” button which will notify all mods, or in the list of “Members” in the drop down menu at the top of the page you will find a list of Moderators. You can PM any one or all of them.

Do I just hold down finger on the icon for a moderator or if I want to PM a member separately perhaps from the member list does that initiate a PM to them?

Also, where is this "report" button and what does it look like?

Also, will you explain how to bookmark or subscribe to a recent post? Thank you. I tried to use this forum years ago but gave up without asking for help when I could not follow correctly. I am wanting to go thru my old outboard and would value some occasional advice and tips from folks that have that.

If you click on a mod’s (staff member) name that will take you to their profile page. Under their Avatar and stats will be a “start conversation” button. Click that button and you can start a conversation with that mod (conversation = DM or PM).

The report button is on the bottom left of an individual post.

To subscribe click on the “watch” button at the top of the topic thread. Clicking the watch button will notify you of any activity on that thread. It will not help you find it if no one has replied to it recently.

If you want to bookmark a topic, just bookmark the entire page in you web browser. That way you can easily find it and go back to it. I highly recommend the web browser bookmark.
