Mobile device avatar, signature editing.

I have found it impossible to add a signature, or avatar with either my iPad or iPhone. I've tried multiple times, and since I do 99.9% of my personal work from these devices I find it aggravating to NEED to go to my work PC. The site in general is pretty clunky from these devices, but still navigable. Are there any plans to make this a bit more mobile friendly, or am I pretty much strapped to my problematic Windows PC?

Are you saving the changes?

For the time being, use your work PC to edit the avatar and sig. It's a one time time thing.

Yes I'm saving the changes, that's when I get the error. See image attached.

I am using Apple device so perhaps iboats just doesn't play nicely with them. Was wondering if this was a known issue.

And added a junky avatar. I'm using an Android tablet - Kindle Fire.

Any ideas, Tim? 'Droid seems to work and not Apple idevices. I don't have an iPhone or Pad to test.

I just tried and was able to edit my signature. Running latest IOS on an iPad.

What iOS and device are you on? On an iPad 4 with the latest iOS, I can edit both avatar and signature (for your avatar, just touch the photo in your profile and a blue "edit avatar" option will appear) . On my iPhone 5 with the latest iOS, I can edit the signature, but there's not an option for editing the avatar.

iPad 3 with latest IOS, and iPhone 6+ with latest iOS. Below is what I get when I try to edit post signature. Even if I turn my phone sideways I get the same thing. I tap in the box and my keypad does not pop up. Obviously I have no issues posting things, just editing signature. Also in avatar edit, I can load a picture, just cannot get past the resizing of the image.

You can't pinch or scroll?

You have to resize avatar pics, it isn't automatic.

Negative on the pinch or scroll. Not on that particular window. The same is true on avatar edit which is why the resizing doesn't work. If try to pull the resizing square down to the part of the image I want to crop, the screen behind the avatar window pops out. All this works when posting messages, it's just the editing in my profile that seems to be an issue. Weird.

I see what you mean now. Looks like the mobile site doesn't resize that window for the screen ... it works fine on my iPad, but the iPhone screen jacks way off to the left of the screen.

Same for some Mod functions, screen sizing isnt correct, so no check boxes @ posts in a topic, so I cant move a new post out of an inactive topic and create a new topic....

Hi all, sorry, still trying to catch up after being out of town for the long weekend. Thanks for all the information and screenshots. I forwarded this discussion over to the programmers here and I think it should be a fairly easy fix. I'll keep this thread updated!

Yes southkogs, that's exactly what happening. Thanks so much for the help. I was beginning to think it was just my devices!!! No problem curt, I'm glad the problem can be reproduced by others.

Not sure its related, however my signature only shows up randomly when I post anything. so today I redid my signature thinking it would help, even clicked and saved without a signature, then went back in are added signature.....nada.

iboats_tim any ideas?

PS, I dont see a signature below in this post from either computer. (Win 7 machine running firefox / Win 10 machine running chrome) however after editing it for this note and saving changes, the signature appeared

I'm seeing your signature just fine - several posts now too. I link my signature over from Photobucket, and sometimes I've noticed it'll wig out for a while (hour or three). Dunno' why.
