This morning at 6:00am I connected to my office using mobile broadband and a VPN connection. Got the usual 1.1 - 1.4 mbps connection speed. By 7:00am, I notice a slow down. By 8:00 pm things are getting bad and I run a test and get about 400kbps, then I am disconnected.

Mobile broadband works off cell phone towers. I have seen this before, when an event happens and every one gets on the phone, the MB slows down as the tower gets overloaded. Well the general public woke up this morning to the election results and got on their cell phones to either celebrate or cry the blues.

I have had events slow down before, but not so bad that I was disconnected.

Now at 10:30 speeds are right back to normal. Guess everyone got what ever it was out of their system.

I have to laugh. In this technology rich area of my world..... I can get a cell signal in one spot in my living room and only in one spot outside the house. If I move 2' in either direction the signal drops.
