mk bow mount bracket adapt to mg

Hi to all,

I have a mk at40 bow mount that went under during K, I aquired a mg without a bow mount bracket. I want to install the mg into the bow mount bracket. The problem is that the mg shaft dia. is 1" and the mk is 1 1/8" can an adapter be bought from mk or do I need to look into making something to take up the slack?

I doubt an adapter is commercially available. However, spend a little time looking around in the plumbing dept of any larger hardware store or home improvement center. You might find some plastic or copper fittings that could be used to fill the gap. Otherwise, any machine shop in town could machine one for you in about 15 minutes. Probably cost a few bucks but it would be correct and durable.
