Good day to you all,

I tried searching for the answer but nothing I could actually use.

Recently I bought a small sail yaught.
It came with a 8 HP 2 stroke mariner external engine.

We have to move the boat quite some distance tomorrow.
Hastly I bought the mixing oil for it.

But no where is stated how to mix it.

So far, its known to me that it needs to be on the scale 1-50 or 1-100.
The only thing that remains is wich scale to use?

Are there any rules on that, should I just role the dice and see what happens (joke).
Do I need to switch every once in a while?

The engine is in perfect condition. Said by a friend who saw it and inspected it on buying. He knows his way around engines.

Is there anything that I should look out for? Weird *THUD* sounds..?
Tips etc are more then welcome.

Thank you in advance and kind regards.

Ahoy, Ginn.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Mix your fuel 50:1, TC-W3 rated outboard oil and unleaded regular gas. The easy way to that is 1 pint oil to 6 US gallons of gasoline.
