Mirage Sugar Sand

We dropped our 1997 Mirage Sugar Sand 120 in the Lake last week, first launch of the 2009 year. After turning over a few times, the cylinders filled with water. We immediately drained the cylinders.. have not restarted the boat. What could have caused this?

Drained and flushed engine, replaced exhaust manifold gasket. Boat started and ran. Any other Mirage owners with Mercury Sport Jet 120 have this issue?

Ran well for about 20 minutes, including full throttle and up to plane, then 'bang'. Engine froze. We may scrap boat.

Decided against scapping boat, may donate it instead. Looking for Blue Book value and local donation program.

Nephew offered to look at motor, out of the water. We'll see what he finds.

Moter was fine, no issues when pulled from boat. However, jet drive was froze, would not move. Opened case, all bearing shot, no lube.
