Gents,<br />Is the color of an 82 sport 15, desert tan (it isn't white)? When I get away from the primary colors get lost fast..<br /><br />68,<br />Once the old varnish is off and the wood cleaned on my mahogony I tried a cocktail of 2:1 boiled linseed oil and Epifanes teak oil rubbed in with 320 WD paper (fills the grain with the sanding slurry and forms a transition layer for the varnish to adhear to). I let it set until dry to the touch (no less than 24 hours). this was then followed with Epifanes clear varnish in multiple coats, you'll have a stroke when you see how good old mahogany will look :) !!! It took me 3 weeks for 8 coats but wow.....
