Milky oil

I have a 1999 4stroke 70hp evinrude. I think its the model thats actually made by suzuki. I started noticing the oil turning white after the last few trips. The motor ran fine, but when I pulled the bost this weekend it looked like milk. I tried changing the t-stat, and running it full out, but didn't help. Any ideas?

Lower unit is leaking water. How bad is it leaking and from where is what needs to be determined. Most likely it is leaking around the drive shaft. You can keep draining the excess water off and topping up the lower end until you are ready to fix it. If you are going to tear it apart you might as well get a water pump kit and change out the impeller while you are at it.

Are you talking about the l/u or the p/h. And what is a bost??

Sorry for confusion. I'm talking about the engine oil, not the lower unit. I pulled the boat.

You are getting water into your crankcase. Blown gasket, loose bolts ??????? Get it fixed rightaway or you will do some very expensive damage.

Sounds like you have a blown head gasket. Take it someplace where you can have a cylinder leak down test done on it. But get it fixed quickly.
