Milky oil in bildge but oil in engine clean

So here I go
I ran the boat after a spring start at the marina. They did the spring service.
20 min into the run I heard a sound like a banging then the engine stopped. Not a hard stop but a nice sound like a stall.

After a day no oil in bildge or water. Now on day two oil in bildge smells burnt and is milky. . Now the engine oil is still clean and full. 5.7 Merc with alpha 1.
Any ideas

if the engine oil level is not dropping then suspect a outdrive oil leak , check the drive oil level and condition
