On my oil injected two stroke, I want to see a little smoke so I know the oil is mixing in. Would make me uncomfortable using a smokeless two stroke oil!
Upon cold starts, I turn the key and let the motor turn over a few times with no choke/fast idle to get extra oil mixed in, when it fires I do get a small cloud of smoke from the extra cranking, which makes me happy to see !
Yep, I have friends who use the auto-mix attachments, which, I have for my Mercury. They are a nice feature. Out fishing one day and my friends motor was acting funny. It was a low oil feature that would allow him to only go a certain speed. So we headed back in.

I have the Mercury auto-mixer that I have never used as just mixing the gas/oil insures one less thing for me to forget to do>>>LOL

When I fill my fuel tank, I fill the oil reservoir everytime, easypeasy, no forgetting.

Oh yea, i would use that feature also, but if you see with my motor it requires a separate install. I would need to install it into my boat separate from my motor near the fuel tank. I was looking at it again today actually and thinking if I should bother. Likely, I'll continue to pre-mix.

If you are speaking of the ---Auto blend ---unit , it should be thrown out into landfill.

Yep, Good old Auto Blend...LOL I wonder if anyone is actually using it today? Might make an interesting thread. I got it with the motor over 10 years ago and it's been in the shelf since then. Someday my kids will the proud owners..LOL

This is interesting as I am not familiar with the auto blend system. Had experience with the OMC vro oil system and my current Merc has the built-in oil injection system that works great.

No, I won't be using it, but I do sell a bit on eBay and these units and parts are selling. Checking the sold prices mine would go for $80 to $150. Might as well try to pass it on to someone who likes them. There are a couple NIB units running $300 - $500.

If I had a built in unit like airshot I'd keep it installed and use it.
