Metal coming out from around gimbal bearing

I took my alpha one gen 2 drive off to do some work, and I noticed that metal that's ribbed that comes around the gimbal bearing is sticking out from the top of it. I tried to take a picture hopefully it's visible. What could have caused this, and how bad is this issue? I ordered a new one.

yeah must have cocked it driving it in…id replace it

Tolerance ring is poking out around od of bearing starting about 7 oclock to 1 oclock…
