Mercury150 cc Lower unit. Rod breaking.

Mecury 150hp XLSWD, OT795733, model 1150465AY. Counter rotating lower unit. The rod that conects the cam follower to the clutch has heated up so excessive the the nipple on the rod is welding its self to the cam follower and causing to rod to break apart at the nipple end. This has happen twice in less then 4 hours of run time. Also, the anchor bracket for the shift cable broke in half at the same time frist discovery of the rod in the lower unit broken.
