mercury water peeing weakly

My mec finally founded the way to make water come strong. He told me that there is a part of engine where sand and mud stays too much and this because the engine is working in shallow water (my boat stay in channel).
Anyway after two months there is the same pronlem one more time. Now I have to call my mec again and tell him to*unclogg again my mercury. I am very surprised that the others engines have not problem like this. Only my merc if working in shallow water have this problem. My mec told me that the*holes from where the water passes*through the lower unit are larger or bigger than yamaha or suzuky*so that*a lot of sand and mud come up in the cooling system, but he told me i have not worry until the engine is not overheating.
Someone can tell me a way to unclog by myself when this problem happens??

Two things:
1. Are you flushing your motor with muffs after each use?
2. Is your impeller fresh?

stay out of the shallow water. sand will tear up a water pump impeller. happened to me when I "found" a sandbar by accident a couple years ago.

if you want to play in a sandy shallow area, use a trolling motor or get a mud motor.

I'm not flushing motor after every use, but i imagined this is right thing to do everyday I go fishing. My problem is that I can use muff only while boat stays in marina mooring. Now I'll try to flush using muff and i think i'll change also the impeller.
I think trolling motor is not enough for my quicksilver 650...

I am just wondering if there is any solution to avoid this kind of issue
keeping the same engine.

All other boats next to me do not have this issue having other brands motors
(evinrude, yahama, Honda, Suzuki)

So I am looking if someone having the same issue did some work to the motor
feet in order to stop this kind of problem.

I'm in a similar situation since I run my 1985 50hp merc in shallow, sandy water. I haven't had a problem with clogging. If my motor telltale isn't peeing strong, It's time to rebuild the pump completely including the baseplate since it will get scored if debris runs through it. I hope this helps. Good luck.
