mercury throttle tilt switch not working

i have a 2003 4 stroke tilt works on motor but will not go up on throttle leaver. how do i get the throttle lever off to replace the switch.

Odds are it's the wirin', 'n not the switch,.....

not sure type but did find a set screw on the bottom. i unplugged the connectors and ohm the 3 wires i have conductivity on 2 but not the other one. ill dig into the wires this weekend whom ever did the wires should never wire anything it looks like a rats nest

after checking into the wires i found a wire in the motor compartment unplugged thanks
