Mercury or Yamaha outboard?

The dealership where I am purchasing a boat has two brands of engines to choose from.(Mercury and Yamaha)..The engine will be a 115hp 2-stroke saltwater series either way...Anyone got any opinions as to which one might be the better runner or most reliable?<br /><br />Thank you

Silverblade,<br /><br />Go with the Yamaha. I've owned a Yamaha 115 Saltwater Series and a 40 HP Yamaha. I've never had a problem with either.

I've had a yamaha 115 for two years, motor is 4 years old, so far so good!! I really like Mercs also, had a 175 for 10 years sold it amd it's still going.
