mercury mark 50

I have a mercury mark 50. I do not know much about this motor. I believe they were only produced for one year? I have a guy coming to look at it, and possibly to buy it. Can anyone tell me some information about this motor and what it is worth? It turns over, has great compression. I have not had the chance to start it yet. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

According to "Old Mercs", the Mark 50 was made in 1954 as a manual start model with a add on electric start kit optional.

It would be helpful(to sell) if you also had working controls with the motor.

It's worth what some collector is willing to pay.

It was only marketed as a mark 50 in 54 and no decals on it.--------Later 4 cylinder motors were not designated the same but were similar.

I do have 2 lever controls that came with it.
