Mercury blue line

I have a 4.5 merc blue line ob, how can I determine the age of the motor?

Your question should really have been in the Mercury forum,but seeing that this is your first post...
You can determine its age by giving us the serial number.We will do the rest.

Post the model and serial number in the Mercury outboard forum. As a general rule, blue band Mercs were from the early 70s.
