I'm new on this forum (great boating forum). Anyways, I have a Mercury Black Max 150HP outboard and I think it's mid 80s era. I have tried to check the exact year but am having difficulties. Is anyone able to assist? The serial number is: A8055378

Youre having difficulty because you have too many numbers. One needs to go. re read the serial number.
