I recently bought a 2003 Mercury 9.9 outboard 2 stroke and there is oil leaking from the little hole directly above the prop on the right hand side. It only leaks a few drops after the motor has run and then stops. When I bought it I transported it home in the bed of my truck but I can't remember which side it was laying on. In the user manual it says to only lay it on the right side (I think) Could ths have something to do with the leak? I have not checked the lower unit oil housing for water yet. I was thinking about changing the oil this weekend to see. Any suggestions? Ken
