Hi,

I'm not sure how to adjust the float on my 1970 Mercury 9.8 110 outboard.

There's two bolts that hold the housing on the carburetor that the float is in.

Is there a way to adjust the float without taking the carburetor off?

If I have to take it off, how do I adjust it?

The float has a small spring on top of it, which touches these two prongs that sit above the needle and seat.

Anyone know the proper way to adjust/set the float?

Thanks....

With the top removed from the carb and turned upside down the lower arm that rides on the float spring should be level with the pin on the other side the float sping shuld measure 3/32" above the top of he float
