Hey guys just a quick question. On my 1973/4 thunderbolt ignition 9.8 I am wondering how do I set the air/fuel screw. I tightened it in all the way then what should I back it off 1 turn? two turns? etc

Thanks for the help

serial no is 3737545

Now I have a new problem

It stalls out about 50 seconds
at 25 seconds I turn the throttle down then at 45 seconds it just dies. I then have to pump the ball really hard to force fuel into the carb to get it running again. I took the "fuel pump" off and cleaned that and no gain there either still doing the same thing video below. Oh also I have no clue what that rattle is

I just noticed the vid. I have not had a fuel issue so far (I did, however,go through it and changed the gaskets) but yes you could get the full carb kit with diaphragms (not cheap) and rbld it. Do you have an alternate fuel tank/line...may have some type of problem(s) with the one you're using.

Is the tank vent open...run it with the cap off for a test if not sure. I once had a 12gal plastic tank feeding a 100 Evinrude and it would die if cap was not loose.
