Mercury 7.5HP

Hello all, New to Boating, Picked up an Older Merc, and fishing Boat.<br />Please help me first as to Year, S# 7106030.<br />Next won't start at all.<br />I can't even figure out how to get the top cover off, :-(.<br />What should I start looking for first, it won't even start to fire at all.

OK, got the cover off, lol<br />But now doesn't seem like there is much of a Spark, Ideas, on where I guy should start.

Doesn't even seem to be firing on either one of the spark plugs

Well, I can get it to fire now.<br /><br />But won't stay running at low RPM, just dies.<br />I can get it to run wide open, but soon as I let off the throttle it dies.<br /><br />Any help would be great/

Try cleaning the fuel system
