Mercury 60 hp outboard - Motor won't idle

It will run, but I can't get it to idle. The motor was manufactured in the early 1990's. Any suggestions for how I can repair it myself?

Do u have a manual they sell them here on iboats link sync i belive thats 3 carbed and go from there welcome too iboats

Dirty or out of adjustment carbs...Lync and Sync a must...timing checked....idle speed adjusted by idle timing...many things to do to get it right.....
