Mercury 60 Hp 60ELPTEFI bottom end tubing

I purchased a 2003 60ELPTEFI 60 Hp 4 stroke motor and noticed it has a 1/4 tubing on the lower end that has a plug. Anyone know what this is or where it should go. Thx

It is the speedo hose.

Thank you. The boat does not have a speedo. So im guessing that is why it has a plug.
