Mercury 60 / 2 stroke 3 cyl wiring loom burn

Hi guys , engine was working until me and my mate were looking for the thermostat my mate decided to put pair of pliers on rectifier and the bottom wiring loom ignited i know it sounds bad but everything is ok is it just a replacement loom or something , reassuring advice would b good i hope cheers

Had a 25hp merc that the insulation wore off the batt cablemelted part of wire loom, seperated wires got off lak then fixed till new loom arrived.

ok nice , my 60 has 2 looms 1 from the 2 main connectors thats the loom that burnt through sounds not to bad then
