Mercury 50hp runs rough when engines cold

I have a 1999 Mercury 50 hp, fuel injection, carbs have been rebuilt by a mercury dealer this summer, engine starts fine and runs fine, but unless you let it warm up for a few minutes when you first put it in the water it wants to die when put in gear. Is there any adjustment that can help?

Can you post serial number as it cant have carbs and fuel injection too....

I meant to say oil injected, not fuel injected. Thanks
