After a few days of soaking the cylinders in BP blaster and turning it over by hand and with the starter I did another compression test dry.
1 125 psi
2 125 psi
3 115 psi
4 125 psi
I feel these numbers are good, I believe they will get higher once its running and I can give it the carbonizing treatment.
I'm having trouble removing the prop. I got the brass nut off and the plastic washer behind it off, but the prop won't come off the shaft. I tried fully threading the nut on the shaft and pulling up on the prop and hitting the shaft/nut with a dead blow hammer, didn't move. Any suggestions?
One more, I don't have my manual yet, but which wires can I expect AC volt coming from the ignition driver? The wires from my driver are red, black and yellowish, my switch box terminals show red, blue, white, and green at the bottom going to coil. Resistance value for the coil?
Thanks! Can't wait to hear this old Merc scream!
