Mercury - 40 to 50 HP by changing the carb

Sorry for the necro lol but it was appropriate

Thanks to this thread and another on iBoats, I installed the carb from the Force 50 to my Force 40 today. Everything worked great! Picked up 4mph and +200rpm, running what seems to be 5800rpm, a little higher than it should be. I'm running a 15 pitch prop and will try a 16 or 17 pitch next.

Refrain from posting to old inactive topics, best to start a new topic and link other older topics as reference in your new topic.
