Mercury 25 delayed acceleration

starts and idles fine. when excellerates goes half speed for several minutes, sputters and then full speed. after trolling same problem

Check the idle mixture setting. It should be to the rich side to avoid a lean condition on throttle up. May also be fuel pump or carb needs rebuilding.

I just read a wholeMerc manual,Didnt get my question answered,I posted my question here at iboats.The manual said for giving throttle and hesitation the lowspeed needle needs opened more,Needs a richer mixture. for exactly what your posting.
