Mercury part number 8M0072277. Does anyone know if this pump can be rebuilt ? I see a new one runs around $80.00. I took mine apart and can see there is a pinhole in the diaphram. If there is a kit available it is an easy rebuild. The motor seems to run fine without it with just a gravity flow from the fuel tank mounted above and the pulse hose plugged. I prefer to repair the motor to original condition but for the cost of the new fuel pump versus a diaphram if available I would rather go with a new diaphram. Has anyone had any luck cutting a new diaphram or know if one is available or is a new pump the only route to go.

I may have mistaken the year but the motor is an EPA model OR448033 and up. The EPA model seems to be the only one with a fuel pump. The other models being gravity flow from the internally mounted fuel tank.

There are many diaphragms available to use to make one to fit yours.---Any pictures with dimensions of your pump parts.
