mercury 150 thunderbolt no spark help???

Hi there my mercury thunderbolt 150 hp 6 cyl straight 2 stoke . i brought the boat as a unfinished project i started engine ran fine then next time i tried to start the engine had lost its spark there is only 0.23volts going to coil with ignition on and turning over i have not touched any wiring since . any idea's please many thanks craig .

That not a coil it's a transformer and is run with AC voltage from the switchbox, heres a simple test from CDI.

Craig, The distributor mounted trigger can be intermittent on that motor. BTW - The dissy rotor is non removeable.
