mercury 135 stator

hi can anyone tell me if a red stator p/n 398 5454a34 will work in replacement of black p/n 398 5454a35 thanks

Tha a34 doesn't show on anything I've got including "Parts Express". Might be a superceded number of some sort Might be a 9amp where tha 35 is a 16amp. I donno? Maybe someone else can come up with tha answer........

Here is CDI interchange, it shows the 34 &35 both to be 16 amp.

One size fits all............Kinda makes ya wonder why Merc made so many different ones huh! Only aftermarket folks I use stopped carring CDI....
