Once you loacate your pump part # and get over the sticker shock at the price, write down the part # and start shopping all the aftermarket sources to see if you can find a more cost effective replacement that has something better than a 30 day warranty.
If you have a part #, I'll check cost for you. OEM pump will not be cheap but under $100. You can probably change it out yourself and save the labor charges. Are they quoting the compressor?
Charlie/Craig; thank you for your advice and help. The part number is 880889T01. Looks like the cost on the website you gave me is $318. How many hours of labor would you expect?

Oh, 4 stroke pump, missed that. Thats the electric one inside the vapor housing. Not hard to do, disconnect lines, take out the screws to open it up, unplug the old one and drop in the new one, check out inlet needle & seat and float. Takes an hour or so to do if all is good. Open it up and check the filter on the bottom before you order a new one. Did they pressure test to diagnose?
