I know there are a few different updated parts in the 2017. Is it possible to drop the 2017 in and replace a few parts from old motor? The eco and wire harness is not on the new motor so I would need to use my original harness. Is this possible?

The 2015 and later motors are Mercruiser blocks. The 2014 and earlier are GM SBC blocks.

Not sure you can swap easy

Look for the bolt holes, if they are there you should be ok

Might need to use old distributor, and could be other parts like some sensors. Need a serial number but your motor could have a 555 or MEFI-3 ECM

0M600627 has 555 ECM and HSV distributor
2A575383 has the latest PCM, don't know if it's 09 or higher and does not use a distributor. No dizzy means different intake also

Again would need to look at the bolt holes on the head and block to see if your ALT, power steering pump, and this block also used a crossover in place where the circulating pump and different open cooled system.

Could be it's all the same, don't know of anyone yet tried what your doing

Thank you. My engine is seazed from saltwater(last owner). Gonna remove from boat and tear down to see if I can machine and rebuild.
