Mercruiser

I recently purchased a 93 maxim 1800 Sr. It came with a mercruiser 4.3 lx from factory but was replaced with a reman 4.3 block from 98-06 year model what starter will I need or are they the same. The starter that came in it doesn’t seem to be correct it keeps shifting and ate the teeth at the end off the starter

there are 2 bolts that hold the starter in place and must be the correct length to have a tight starter
