Mercruiser trim wont go up

I have a '78 Mercruiser 470 and today on the water my tilt wouldn't go up. I replaced the solenoid and it still wont go up, but it goes down. I used a screw driver on the 2 main bolts to get it up at the dock. I have included a picture of the solenoid and wiring. There is a RED and PURPLE wire on the left larger bolt, a BLUE on the right, 2 GREEN on the bottom and 4 BLACK on the top. There is a small black wire on the top bolt of the solenoid that looks like it should be somewhere, but I can't find where. Any ideas would be helpful and thank you for looking.

First of all, your picture is way too small to make out any detail, and from what I see you have a wiring nightmare going on.

Trace the red and the purple wire and see where they lead to. Nothing there is OEM.

It looks like you have the single solenoid setup, so here is the wiring diagram for how it should be.
